My First Taste

They say you never forget your first time. Although it’s been nearly 20 years, I can still remember it well. It was January of 99 and I had just turned 18.  My parents went out of town to celebrate their anniversary for the weekend, and that meant one thing for me. Busting as many nuts as I could. I called my girlfriend at the time to try and make plans. Let me tell you, she was a sex pot of horniness. Shoulder length dirty blond hair, 5ft 6in, 175lbs with 44DDs. Yeah she was a little chubby, but damn she could suck my cock like crazy. However, it wasn’t meant to be. Her family sprung a last minute ski trip for the weekend. Crap, now what was I to do. I had no plans, a list of chores my parents wanted done, and nuts so full, they felt as if they could explode any minute. Well Friday evening after I got home and said goodbye to my parents, I decided to do the one thing I knew I needed to take care of first. Not more than 30 minutes passed by, I was sitting naked in my room rubbing o...

Practical Strategies to Stay Mentally Tough in a Crisis

Life doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes things happen that we don’t expect—like losing a job, facing illness, going through a breakup, or dealing with global events like a pandemic. These tough times can feel overwhelming. But even in the middle of a crisis, it’s possible to stay strong. Here are some practical ways to keep your mind steady when life gets hard.

1. Take One Step at a Time

When things feel out of control, it helps to focus on just one small thing at a time. Don’t try to fix everything at once. Ask yourself, “What’s one thing I can do right now to feel better or move forward?” Even something simple like drinking water, taking a shower, or making a to-do list can help you feel more grounded.

2. Control What You Can

You may not be able to control the crisis, but you can control how you react. Focus on what’s in your hands—your attitude, your daily routine, and how you treat others. Let go of things you can't change. This shift in focus can help you feel more calm and in control.

3. Stay Connected

Don’t go through hard times alone. Talk to a friend, family member, or someone you trust. Just having someone listen can make a big difference. If you feel really low, don’t be afraid to ask for help from a therapist or support group.

4. Take Care of Your Body

Your mind and body are connected. When you take care of your body, your mind feels stronger too. Try to eat regular meals, get some sleep, move your body (even a short walk helps), and take deep breaths when you feel stressed.

5. Avoid Too Much News or Social Media

Staying informed is important, but too much bad news can make you feel more anxious. Set limits for how often you check the news or scroll online. Choose a few trusted sources and stick with those.

6. Remind Yourself of Past Strength

Think back to another hard time in your life that you got through. What helped you then? What did you learn about yourself? You’ve been strong before—you can be strong again.

7. Be Kind to Yourself

Don’t be too hard on yourself if you're struggling. It’s normal to feel scared, tired, or sad during tough times. Talk to yourself like you would to a good friend. You deserve care and compassion too.

Final Thoughts

Being mentally tough doesn’t mean you never feel upset or scared. It means you keep going, even when things are hard. With small steps and simple habits, you can build strength from the inside out. Just take it day by day—you’re stronger than you think.
